Afghanistan Celebrates World Peace Day

untitled-13Kabul (Revista E) - The International Day of Peace (September 21) was first introduced by a United Nations resolution in 1981, to provide an opportunity for individuals, organizations and nations to create practical acts of peace on a shared date. Afghan President Karzai mentioned the importance for Peace Day and proclaimed a cease fire by the Afghan National Security Forces. In 2008 Peace Day, the violence was reduced by 70%. This year, no violence was registered.
