It’ll be interesting to witness the clash between protagonists for proprietary vs. open source-friendly software on that scene.

The reasons that have stimulated Microsoft to a merger and not to Yahoo’s purchase, they are a product of the wastage that the computer giant has had in the income after 34 years of history.

Either that or the the bottom lining of MS’s deep pockets are beginning to show. In the past takeovers were implemented simply to gain control. In this case MS is awarded control of the technology and Yahoo of the ads.
Now if only MS were to drastically reduce the waste generated by its bloated flagship operating system ;->

The truth I believe that being the third, all the times it has not wanted to overcome to Google Microsoft? And always it has been a garbage his seeker, operating systems etc etc, but it will have two or three absent-minded persons who use it and they like it

Strong marketing and slick user presentation have traditionally allowed MS to appeal to the naive consumer, who after all represents the lion’s share of the market…

Let’s hope that they do not gain scale across Bing, which just gain anything of temporary interest

Amen. However, I have yet to look systematically at the probable algorithms behind behind Bing and its differentiation with the likes of Google.
On a related note it appears that open source (FLOSS) has made considerable headway in Spain.
